Introduction

There are subjects in Scientology that are bizarre. Scientology grew out of the thoughts of L. Ron Hubbard. Is it all bizarre though? Is it largely a very sensible religion based on scientific principle or is it a work of complete madness?

Good question. Let me introduce you to the NOTs. This stands for New Era Dianetics for OTs. What are these NOTs all about? Well they are all about exorcising the entities placed there by Xenu, nuking the population of this planet (Teegeeack).

Yes, there is much that is bizarre within the "Church of Scientology". But who is the judge of absolute truth? Well, in the absence of anything else, it must be common sense.

The NOTs are all about ridding a person of space aliens murdered by the Evil Lord Xenu. The souls of these poor unfortunates (murdered 75 million years ago) may need to be given standard Scientology processing in order to release them. You may have millions of them. Your Case Supervisor will decide.

Could it be that the wealthier you are the more Body Thetans you have? Let's say you have done the Grades. Could it be that all these Body Thetans, all two million of them or whatever, would in turn have to receive this self-same processing in order to free them.

Does this sound like a con?

I think so!

So here are the NOTs. They are there to prove to you that in Scientology, the bulk of your time and your money is devoted to auditing out the unfortunate souls of those murdered by the tyrant Xenu some 75 million years ago.

Is this just an insignificant part of the spiritual teachings? No, it is not! Just look at the sheer quantity of all this material.

Coming into the Church of Scientology for the first time, how would you react to the idea that these ideas about Xenu were true?

In the following pages it will be made clear that these bizarre ideas are a part of everyday "auditing within the Church of Scientology".

Look out for the "Thetan Hand Technique". Can a Body Thetan (BT) get confused if they do not understand a word correctly? If you as a thetan have done all the Scientology grades at huge expense then could it be that you will have to do them all over again for each of your recalcitrant Body Thetans? Do you smell a rat here?
